Real Estate Highlights
I shoot a lot of Real Estate, especially in the Oregon City area. While it's not always the most interesting stuff, sometimes I do get to photograph some very nice homes, or homes with unique features. I have to keep this blog updated to help my SEO. So, I'll be posting a "Real Estate Highlights" blog once a week, that will highlight the most interesting or unique features of homes I've photographed.
These are some interesting highlights from my most recent real estate endeavors:
Ferguson Rd. Oregon City
I loved this particular shoot on Ferguson Rd. in Oregon City. The people were friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable. Like we had known each other forever. In fact they made me wish I HAD known them forever. These are the kind of people that somehow reach into your soul and make it feel better. Sadly, they are moving to Redmond, Oregon. One of the things I enjoyed about this shoot was visiting the horses (who I discovered did NOT appreciate my speedlight- in fact they seemed downright offended by it). I also got to see the very impressive display of a Killdeer, who was protecting her nest by "playing" injured and therefore distracting me from stepping on it.
This is the kitchen at the Ferguson Rd. house. Not too big, not too small, not too fancy, and check out that toe-kick light around the island! I could definitely see myself in this kitchen!
Beckman Rd., Oregon City
Last week I got to shoot a house on Beckman Rd. in Oregon City. This home has its own private air-strip. According to the owner, it doesn't get much use anymore, but many of the surrounding neighbors still have small airplanes parked in their hangars. If you have an airplane, you should buy this property.
Clairmont Way, Oregon City
This home on Clairmont Way in Oregon City has this huge tree in the backyard, complete with swings. It made me think of my grandkids and how much fun they would have on that swing! That is, when they're old enough to even play on a swing. :)
14th St. West Linn
Check out the clouds in this shot of this 1940's remodel on 14th St. in West Linn!
Here's the kitchen inside the West Linn house. So spacious and functional!

John Natteford's Head Shot Session
In spite of the near 100 degree weather today, John was a great sport and patiently posed for over 40 clicks of the shutter. We wrapped it up in around 30 minutes, to get out of the uncharacteristic heat. (We Oregonians don't normally get this kind of heat until August. We're not ready!)

Dominic's Head Shot at the Park
It was a beautiful afternoon, just perfect for a portrait session in the park. Dominic found me through Thumbtack.com and drove all the way from Vancouver, WA for this quick head shot session.

Marissa and Malachi
What fun to have the honor to shoot the engagement photos of my daughter Marissa, and her fiance Malachi! We headed to the gazebo at Wait Park in Canby, because it holds special significance to them. They became officially engaged there, so it was fitting that they had their engagement photos taken there. There were so many beautiful photos, it was really hard to narrow it down to just a few for this blog!

Pinky Promise...
This shoot was a bit of a challenge, as we were not the only ones at the park. I had to place Marissa and Malachi very strategically to keep people, cars, bikes, kids, you name it - out of the photos.
It was worth it!
As a photographer, this was such a fun photo shoot! As a Mom, oh boy... this was a tough one. My baby's getting married! These two are very much in love and are committed to facing life together, whatever it brings. I wish them many, many years of love and happiness.
A Springtime Photo Shoot
Last weekend I took a break from Real Estate Photography to get some shots of my adorable little cousin. I think she's a 3rd cousin to me (my cousin's daughter's daughter), but it's just so much easier to call her my cousin.
I've been shooting so much real estate lately, it took me a few minutes to warm up. You don't have to wait for a house to smile, or tell it where to put its hands! Emory was a little shy at first too, but once we got in a groove, we were able to get some of the most adorable photos!
She is just so stinkin' cute!
Don't let that adorable smile fool you. I think her eyes are hiding just a pinch of mischief!
