Family Portrait Day

June 04, 2016  •  1 Comment

One of the fun things about being a photographer, is documenting my favorite people as they journey through life. Recently I took family portraits of my daughter, her husband and my Grandson Charlie. It was Mother's Day, and it was also the day that Charlie was dedicated to God in a short ceremony at our church. Afterwards, we went outside for photos.

If you've ever tried to have family portraits taken with a toddler in the equation, you know how challenging it can be! It was loads of fun though, and the photos actually show him the way he really is- a toddler full of energy and wonder, with a tiny bit of world dictator mixed in.

No one is allowed to tell Charlie when to smile. He will smile if he feels like it.

He allowed his people to kiss on him. Briefly.

Tickles were required to make him laugh.

And... he's done. He abandoned us for the playground.

Caught a candid smile while he was playing with Momma.

A Family Affair

What an honor to take photos of the beautiful Erdmanczyk family! They made my job so easy! The shoot took place at Molalla River State Park, in Canby. It was a beautiful setting and even though it was just barely drizzling, we were still able to get some fantastic photos! Here are my personal favorites:

I can't even tell you how much fun it was to capture these brothers! What I can tell you, is that these boys are full of energy and spunk and maybe a little mischief. They are absolutely adorable! Here are a few favorites from our photo shoot at Hillendale Park in Oregon City.

What a fun day this was!

Senior Portrait Session Part 2

By the time we finished Jeremy's Senior Portrait session in February, our fingers, toes, lips and noses were frozen. We decided to wait until spring to get a few more poses done. We had a beautiful, WARM, sunny day and we took these photos at Hillendale Park in Oregon City. Here are some highlights from session 2.

No, I didn't carve the "Class of 2016" into the railing. Ha! That's the magic of Photoshop.

There's a funny story behind this photo! His mom requested a staged photo of him on the phone (because that's how she sees him all the time) and not long after that, he actually got a phone call, so I told him to go ahead and answer it. I snapped a bunch of pictures while he was on the phone, no staging or acting required!

Senior Portraits!

We started Jeremy's Senior Portraits in February, to meet his yearbook photo deadline. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but it was around 28 degrees, with a wind chill factor of "I can't move my lips". Jeremy was a good sport and we got through it as quickly as we could. Here are a few favorites.

Stay tuned for part 2 of Jeremy's Senior Session. We finished up in the spring, on a much warmer day!
