The Best Day Ever!
Yesterday I had the joy of taking photos of my lovely 9-months-pregnant-daughter and her husband, who is not lovely, or pregnant-but he IS a great guy, and he's quite handsome.
My grandson is going to be beautiful.
It's hard to choose "favorites" from the photo shoot. They ALL turned out SO good! Here is a very small selection of my favorites...
We were fortunate to find a quiet, secluded park, that we had all to ourselves.
It's easy to get beautiful pictures, when your subjects are beautiful.
Of course, our little guy was very cooperative as well. He was just along for the ride....

We tried some fun, creative poses.
Just when you're about to get the perfect shot, somebody "photobombs" it...
which actually ends up making the shot even better!
She was truly "glowing".

A Fun Photo Shoot with Luke!
Yesterday I had the pleasure the taking some pictures of my cousin's son Luke.
Luke is one of my favorite people. It's easy to make him smile and he is so good natured and cooperative, it's ridiculous. When prepping for this day, I was concerned that I might not have what it takes to get him to smile (I'm not a naturally funny person), but Luke was in the best of moods and was one of the best subjects I've ever photographed.
It helped having his Mom and Sister there to make him smile, but after about the first five minutes,
Luke seemed to be completely comfortable in front of the camera.
Even towards the end, when he was really sick and tired of the whole thing,
he never complained. He just kept smiling and doing whatever we asked.
Luke's smile is enchanting. He's graduating this year,
and I'm betting all the girls are going to be so sad!

to take your pictures. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you like the results!
A Senior Portrait Adventure
Once in a while, when you're a girl with a camera, someone comes along and asks you to take some pictures. In this case, it was my daughter's boyfriend Malachi, who needed a couple of pictures for his Senior Slideshow right away. Coordinating schedules was a little complicated, but we ended up meeting at a nearby park on my lunch break for a quick mini Senior Portrait Session.
It was a beautiful day, with just the right amount of sun and clouds for perfect shooting conditions.
Malachi was an excellent subject. At first he may have felt a little
awkward, but by the end of the photo shoot, he was a pro.
We ended up with several shots he can pick from for his Senior Slideshow, as well as quite a few fun shots
like the above, and even a couple of bloopers! I'll let him decide if he ever wants to share them....
The Dalton Family
The Daltons are the kind of people that just make you feel at home right away. They are warm, friendly, inviting, and also a little silly. These people know how to have fun.
Connie surprised Bob for his birthday, by flying his kids in from out of town. It was the perfect opportunity to have some photos taken together.
The Dalton's beautiful home was the perfect setting.
Baby was such good sport the whole time!
Did I mention something about silliness?

They were all so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera.

My first appointment with Andy an Andrea Van Gorder was canceled due to bad weather, and I am SO glad we rescheduled! Today, the weather was completely gorgeous. Blue sky, crisp and cool, but not biting cold. It was perfect.
This was my very first maternity photo shoot and I was beyond excited. I scoured the internet for inspiration, and the Van Gorders brought some of their own ideas too!
They were excellent subjects- as if they do this every day.
Baby Tess was very cooperative (at least as far as I could tell).
